U32 Apartments Phase II Offers All The Amenities

Imagine waking up in a brand new apartment, throwing on your gym clothes and walking down the hall to a gym, then moving on to a yoga class followed by a quick dip in the pool. All of this and you didn’t have to even get in your car. U32 Apartments in North Fargo offers the best of amenities for residents and now has openings in the brand new phase of the property.

The construction dust has cleared, the final touches were made by the designer and just like that, 118 new units were available for rent at U32! Actually, all of this took nearly a year to complete so it wasn’t quite that easy. The Roers Construction team oversaw the construction working with various subcontractors throughout the process. Through rain, snow and humid days, the crew was able to complete the construction at the end of July. The designer, Christen Joy, worked her magic and helped create an atmosphere welcoming, fresh and full of energy for residents. From fun themed study rooms on each floor, to the unique touches in each unit including amazing kitchen sinks, spacious rooms and closets and unique lighting throughout each unit, this is a place where residents will feel at home.

The lounge in Phase II is already a hit with residents!  It has a feeling of being out on the town for an evening with friends, yet can also be a place to gather to watch the big game on the numerous big screen televisions. The cigar lounge theme has a vibe that is very inviting and relaxing. For those that want some fun, there shuffle board and ping pong for friends to enjoy. This is definitely a place where residents will want to hang out.

Each floor features a study room for residents to be able to have some quiet time or to meet with a study group. Take your pick of the feeling you want to inspire your studying – Andy Warhol creative themed room, the Great Outdoors, a New York Subway theme, the Banana Breeze surfing theme and the Snowboard adventure theme. Each feature specific artwork, furniture and decor to accentuate each inspiring theme.

“U32 Phase II is the perfect combination of comfort and chic. I can’t wait for residents to elevate their lives, connect with friends and create life-long memories in this one-of-a-kind space that truly feels like home,” commented Christen Anderson, designer at Christen Joy.

Another hot attraction at U32 Phase II is the yoga studio. MojoFit Studios has opened their second location inside U32. Daily classes are available from hot yoga, sculpt and relaxation classes. The studio is open to residents but also to the general public. For a sneak peak at the schedule, visit https://www.mojofitstudios.com/. Plus you can check out U32 when you go to a class.

We had a great turn out & I can’t wait to continue doing these charity lunches.”

Groundbreaking for St Paul Newman Center

The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the St. Paul Newman Center was held on Monday, June 24. Over 125 people were in attendance to celebrate this momentous occasion as the long awaited project begins. Special guests in attendance included Rev. James Cheney, Newman Center Pastor & Director; Dean Bresciani, NDSU President; Tim Mahoney, Fargo Mayor, Most Rev. Crossroads Dental Under Construction in West Fargo

A new dental office with state-of-the-art technology will soon open in West Fargo located conveniently on Veterans Blvd near Interstate 94. Nate Nygard, DDS, currently operates the practice as Callender Nygard Family Dental. When the new office opens in July 2019, the practice will be called Crossroads Dental.

Roers is constructing the new practice and is working closely with Patterson Dental on the dental equipment. The new office will have a state-of-the-art sterilization center with a treatment conference room to discuss cases in a relaxed and private environment. The dental lab will feature an in-house crown milling unit and 3-D printer. The office will eventually be completely digital which means dental impressions will not be needed. The technology allows them to make crowns in one appointment and scan teeth with our camera and have the models printed digitally with the 3-D printer. The office will also have a full basement with a large training room. This will allow us to have staff training events and continuing education events/meetings in house.

Nygard will open the office as the sole dentist however, with the anticipated growth in clients the office is being built to add an additional two to three dentists and more hygienists in the future.

Despite a harsh winter and marginal spring for weather, the timeline has been kept fairly close. The Roers crew has been able to keep up with the anticipated open date set in October at groundbreaking. The anticipated open date is July 8, 2019 for Crossroads Dental.

Cape Coral Plans for New Apartment Complex

Roers Development is working with the city planners in Cape Coral, Florida, to find a solution the city is facing with the lack of multifamily housing. Roers has plans to develop, The Cape at Savona Parkway, a new 320 unit, four-story apartment complex in southwest Cape Coral.

The development is in a prime location just off of Savona Parkway and in close proximity to many schools, making it an excellent location for families. The resort-style complex will include one, two and three bedroom apartment homes. The complex will feature a pool area with clubhouse, recreation area with indoor and outdoor kitchen spaces, cabanas, tiki hut, areas for pet exercise, playground, walking trails, pickle ball court and more.

Safety is Not an 8 to 5 Job

Safety. At Roers this is more than just a six letter word that is discussed at the beginning of a job. It is a focus for each employee every day at Roers whether in the field or in the office. Andrew St. John, Safety  Manager at Roers, ensures that safety is on the top of every employees mind.

“Safety is not an 8 to 5 job. Safety is 24/7, because your family wants you to be safe too,” is a motto that St. John refers to often. In order to keep safety a key part of each role, there are many steps taken in the company’s customized safety program. Roers participates in the ABC Step Program, partners with Bismarck State College’s OSHA Consult Team, holds CPR and First Aid Training along with various other training sessions for employees throughout the year. Subcontractors are included in many training programs as well. In fact, over the past years, Roers and subcontractors have participated in the OSHA consultation and training program over 30 times. St. John visits job sites frequently and the Safety Committee performs monthly site audits. Roers holds many in-house training sessions which allows the training to be customized and specific for our projects. The investment in a safety program ensures each site is equipped with safety equipment, safety measures are followed and employees understand safety precautions.

At Roers we take safety very serious, 24/7. We work to build success and when everyone focuses on safety, our employees can be productive, effective and successful each day

St. Paul Newman Center

Since 1928, the St. Paul Newman Center has been a focal point for the NDSU campus. Roers is proud to be partnering with the Newman Center for a significant construction project which will allow the overcrowded center to serve even more community members. Over the years, the Center grew its campus presence and services, which led to the need for a larger complex in the 1970’s. The Center has grown drastically since then and continues to grow with engagement of thousands of students. The project will consist of a new 500-seat chapel, student commons, parish hall, kitchen, coffee shop, bookstore, administrative offices, classrooms and priest residences. With student enrollment continuing to increase and the overwhelming desire for student housing close to campus, the construction project will also include 24 units of faith based housing, 85 apartment units and a potential for 11 single-family town homes.

The project has been discussed since 2014, and Roers is working with the Newman Center to ensure all considerations are taken into account to provide the best features for the Center and those it serves. Larry Nygard, President of Roers Development, commented, “The expansion of St. Paul’s Newman Center will continue to provide a “home-away-from-home” as it has for many decades – including ministry program, faith based relationships, campus activities housing opportunities to NDSU students and other low income residents who will be close to campus in a secure and convenient environment.”

The $40 million project will be constructed on 12th Street and University near the southeast entrance to North Dakota State University. Construction timeframes are still in the works.
