Breakfast with Santa 2018

Roers had its’ 2nd Annual Breakfast with Santa this year. We created this event to try and include our employees and their families. We have the Annual Christmas Party every year, so we decided to hold this event the day after so our out-of-town staff and guests are able to attend!

Santa

It’s called Breakfast with Santa… so what would the event be without Santa?? The kids absolutely loved him.

Activity Stations

Along with getting to chat with Santa, we also had some games, activities, treats, and more! Guests were able to go through the office and play Christmas BINGO, create an ornament craft, decorate cookies, and write letters to Santa.

Volunteers

We had some amazing volunteers help us out with this event! We reached out to the Sheyenne High School’s National Honor Society for some volunteers, and they were great! We want to thank them for being so helpful & polite.

Overall, the event was a success! It’s so nice getting to not only connect and catch up with all of our employees, but their families & loved ones as well.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Roers Christmas Party 2018

Tis the season! Roers had its 42nd Annual Christmas Party and it was a night filled with good company, good conversation, music, and jerseys!

Our past parties have been rather formal themed as far as a dress code. Last year we decided to do an ugly sweater theme and it was a big hit! A lot of people liked the casual dress code with less pressure to dress up. So we stuck with that for 2018. We still wanted to make it fun, so we chose the theme of jerseys/team spirit! We even had a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner for Most Team Spirit.

Social Hour

The party began with a social hour. This was a great time for everyone to catch up with employees they might not get to see or work with every day.

Awards

Dinner began and shortly after we started the employee recognition & awards. We recognized our employees who have been here for 5, 10, 15, 35, and 40 years! We also presented the Rookie of the Year Award, Building Success in the Office Award, Building Success in the Field Award, and the Community Service Award. It’s awesome to get to highlight our amazing employees and the hard work they do for Roers.

Jerseys vs. Trophies

This game is also something we’ve done in the past. To say it’s a hit is an understatement! Everyone loves it. Each guest gets a paddle. Jim flips a coin, everyone guesses what they think it’s going to land on. If you’re wrong you sit down. And we keep going until there’s one person standing! We did three games of it this year with prizes of a Great Wolf Lodge gift certificate, a Roomba, and an Apple Watch for the winners! Such a fun game.

Pie in the Face

Something else we did during the party was a little fundraiser for the United Way of Cass Clay. Our United Way committee collected money for a chance to pie Danielle or Scott, two of our leaders, in the face. Things got really messy really fast. But it was for a good cause, so it was worth it… right Danielle?

Dueling Pianos

This year’s entertainment was Dueling Pianos who put on a great show! A lot of us got up to dance… not something we get to do with our coworkers every day!

Most Team Spirit

Last but not least… we awarded our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of the Most Team Spirit with Scheels gift cards!

1st place was Lisa S. on the Dickinson Team! She was head to toe in Eagles gear.

2nd place was Matt N. on the Development Team and his wife Christine! They dressed up as “jersey cows”.

3rd place was Tyrone K. on the Construction Team. He was a referee!

Overall, the night was a success. We’re already planning for next year! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays from everyone at Roers!

Pies Pies Pies

The Roers team was feeling grateful, thankful, and blessed this Holiday season! And we wanted to spread it around our community. We delivered over 500 pies total between Fargo, Dickinson, and Bismarck during the week of Thanksgiving. That’s a lot of pies!

Give a Pie, Get a Pie

For the past few years, Roers Property Management has been partnering with Starion Bank and Village Inn to do “Give a Pie, Get a Pie” at our Metropolitan Apartments in Fargo. This year, we decided to do it at our SGC Apartments as well! Residents are able to fill out a form and choose what flavor of pie they would like to have for themselves and they are also able to choose a flavor of pie they would like to give to someone else for the Holidays. Once we get the forms in, we deliver the pies! The best part is, Dale from Starion helped us deliver!

Pies for our clients, partners, & vendors

Roers has always done a Christmas gift to the people we work close with throughout the year. However, we had the idea to switch things up this year and do a Thanksgiving gift instead. And what’s a better gift during Thanksgiving than a pie?! So we put in a very large order of pies at Costco, order some Roers cutting boards, and wrapped them together to make a cute little Thanksgiving gift of pie!

The Roers leadership team all came together and delivered pies all around our community. We even had deliveries in Dickinson and Bismarck! To say we love pie is an understatement….

Employee Pie Party

Not only did we want to express how thankful we were for our clients, vendors, & partners… we also wanted to show our employees how thankful we are for them and all the hard work they do for Roers!

We invited all of our employees to the Fargo Office to enjoy some apple cider, some fresh pumpkin pie, and to take a pie home to enjoy with their friends and family over Thanksgiving! It was an afternoon filled with great people, great conversation, and really great pie.

Thanks to everyone who helped with these fun events and thanks to everyone who works with Roers and made this event possible! We are so thankful, so grateful, and so blessed. We are wishing you all a very Happy Holidays!

MacKenzie River Pizza

Roers Construction Company is pleased to announce the successful completion of the construction of the communities’ newest restaurant, MacKenzie River Pizza. This is the fourth location for owner, Lance Robinson. “Our focus is to provide a casual family-atmosphere for all ages,” commented Robinson. “Our food and service won’t be hit or miss. You can expect both to be consistent every visit.” The atmosphere is welcoming, but visitors will enjoy the menu even more. From gourmet specialty pizzas, sandwiches on fresh baked bread, to desserts worth all the calories, MacKenzie River Pizza’s menu is decked out for dine-in and take-out orders.

MacKenzie River Pizza takes pride is giving back to the communities through volunteering and financial support. Company-wide nearly $83,000 has been donated to local organizations. The restaurant also participates in the Round It Up America® program which provides support to the No Kid Hungry and ProStart charities. When closing out your credit card bill, simply round up to the nearest dollar and the money is given to these deserving charities. “Roers was excited about the opportunity to partner with MacKenzie River Pizza for the construction of the restaurant as was as the opportunity for the community to gain another company which is extremely community-focused. Our core values align, along with our high standards for quality and customer service. We look forward to the addition of MacKenzie River Pizza in our growing community,” commented Jim Roers, Roers Chief Executive Officer.
